- Great nose, good barrel. Very good PLV.
Very nice: mild, round, creamy-sweet, even a bit spicy and waxy. Looks older than his 12 years (blindly I would have guessed about 16). I particularly like the high-quality barrel influence, both honey sweetness and a dry aspect, which reminds me of straw in the summer sun, come across. Open it up again with water, you can see that it must have been a 1A barrel.
Fruity, intense, very warming (I need water). The ex-BC aromas / tastes dominate: enormous corn sweetness, caramel, popcorn, marshmallows, cotton candy, fresh white bread, oat biscuits, a little citrus.
Absolutely competent, if not overly exhilarating. Sweet, with coconut and almond.
