LONGMORN 9 YEARS 2008 CASK STRENGTH 57.6%
57.6% vol. 35 cl
SPEYSIDE SINGLE MALT
Single barrel n ° 637 008 of 190 L which gave 176 L at 57.6 ° corresponding to 504 bottles of 35cl. Aged in American oak barrels of 1st filling.
Bottled at natural grade (cask raw), unfiltered, without any additions, according to the recommendation of Master Blender Sandy HYSLOP.
Distilled in a gas still on December 22, 2008 at the Longmorn Distillery in the Speyside Valley.
The first nose reveals a fruity balance of notes of pears, liquid honey and homemade apricot jam.
The intensely fruity mouth is sublimated by aromas of orange and vanilla intermixed with a hint of ginger and licorice.
A finish that turns out to be incredibly soft and mellow.
Tasting: to be enjoyed at room temperature. After aeration, bring a slight dilution.
Pairings: goes well with a Munster or a Parmigiano Reggiano. Also appreciated around the sweetness of a pear tart.
