- Aroma: Sweet with dried fruits, caramel and vanilla.
Taste: Soft and creamy with nuts, spices and sea salt.
Finish: long and fruity.
- Slight sherry and peat on the nose. Spirit is a bit hot. Brown sugar, vanilla, custard and some tropical fruit.
Opens up a bit with water.
Flavor is well rounded if understated. Sherry and peat elements feel somewhat superficial and tend to fade to the back later in the glass.
Last few drops can have a deep cocoa flavor. A good dram, and certainly for the price but ultimately nothing to set it apart.
Does make a very interesting, and delicious old fashioned. Also used this to make a sort scotch sour, which was good as well. Could see this being a fun ingredient to play around with for whisky based cocktails as the mix of sherry and peat is somewhat less common, and the price makes it reasonable to mix with.
Nose; Sugar, chocolate, candy floss, bubble gum.
We can smell a little hint of the sea
The alcohol feel is really present and some kind of disturbing.
Aluminium, brown sugar, cinnamon and a hint of chocolate.
Spices and alcohol. Finish is short and dry.
