Whisky Reviews for Springbank 10-year-old
2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 91.72 points
- Herbal and citrusy old style springbank lacks a bit of fruitiness but very drinkable
- A very austere and spirity Springbank, definitely interesting to try.
Rather shy at the beginning. Extremely vegetal and austere, newly polished tool and caramelized barley. The nose shows some amount of OBE, then there are fresh mints and herbal components. The peat acts as the backbone but not very powerful. After the open-up, there are more chocolates, fresh cream and floral notes.
Very strong and powerful, still very dry and minty, a lot of lemon liqueur with herbal infused oils, explosive. Then the minty notes dominate with dark chocolates and fresh peaches, relatively salty.
The finish is dominated by chocolates, minty candies, and a mixture of precious herbs, honey, and cheese.
