Fruity malt that a little more alcohol would do well. Little bit of aromas for 16 years.

it appears very soft and fruity on the nose. The taste of a typical triple-distilled Irishman: extremely soft.
With 43% or even 46% I could imagine that he could give more price. So it just fades too quickly.
For me a classic summer whiskey to start with, or if you're not looking for anything complex. For 16 years it was shockingly 'pale' in its aroma.
You can also buy a Tullamore DEW blend for half or even a third of the price and get almost the same taste profile.
Don't get me wrong, the whiskey is quite good on the nose and tastes from solala to ok, but sorry West Cork, for around 50 euros that's too little.
For 25 euros I would think about it ... that's how the PLV is underground.
[70 - 66 = average --- one dram is enough, thx for the experience]

Immediately bright fruits of pear, peach and apple on the nose. In addition, vanilla, (acacia) honey and some oak seasoning and powdered sugar, although the sweetness is rather reserved.
Behind a flower meadow and freshly cut grass.
Over time I still have a slight nutty aroma of hazelnuts.
    • Taste
      70 70
extremely soft / watery. Fruit is there immediately and some spice builds up on the tongue. Vanilla can still be felt.
    • Finish
      66 66
scary short for a 16 year old. A little spice still sticks to the tongue, but then disappears very quickly.
