Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

nose is quite sweet and crisp. There are notes of marmalade and zesty
citrus, cereal sweetness, a touch of toffee and a lovely caramel note.
The palate is well-balanced and smooth. There are notes of zesty citrus
and manuka honey, plenty of cereal sweetness and winter spice, a hint of
lemonade and a little toasty oak. The finish is of medium-length with
    lovely oaken sweetness.

Not really much flavours to smell; taste is good in relation to the very cheap price. But in the end it's more a Whiskey for Cocktails or Whiskey-Cola than for a Tasting respectively nosing glasses.

Reference to other, more expensive and refined products; must also serve as a bar for equally cheap goods; no mistakes, but of course not the crowning of the Bourbons.
    • Nose
slightly smooth, sweet, gentle, without any disturbing influences, but also without insane finesse
    • Taste
Bourbon for oak, as an ideal starting point for exploring the world of whiskeys
    • Finish
with unobtrusive spice now disappears the corn distillate, light vanilla and fresh oak resonate

  4. drkrylov scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Gentle, but quite evocative. Dessert apples. Raisin cookies. Sweet but appetising.
    • Taste
Light in body and flavour, but with some delicacy and complexity. Vanilla. Honey. Spicy.
    • Finish
Fruity flavours reminiscent of orange flower water. Drying somewhat with a hint of char.

  5. Quaker scored this whisky 74 points Member Senior

Archetype of bourbon, easy to drink and cheap, but it stops there.
    • Nose
Not surprisingly, a classic nose and all round bourbon, on vanilla and new wood. All in all nice enough.
    • Taste
Again roundness, it is very easy to drink. Wood logically takes precedence over vanilla this time.
    • Finish
Medium final and in continuity with the rest.

  6. QuarterCentury scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

Very popular bourbon, aged a minimum of five years in oak barrels for

extra smoothness and carefully blended for a consistently smooth, creamy

good entry fee, rather to mix
    • Nose
      Vanilla, caramel, adhesive
    • Taste
      Vanilla, caramel, some bitter oak
    • Finish
short, a bit sprightly, oak seasoning
