Successful bottling, which - like many Elsburn - is very pleasant, intense and easy to drink.
He still lacks some complexity and depth, otherwise I would have liked to have been able to assign 90 P.
    • Nose
      89 89
Beautiful mineral barrel aromas immediately appear in the nose, accompanied by marzipan, chocolate and honey sweetness in the background. Chestnuts / chestnuts indicate the character of the distillate. Brazil nut and dates follow.
    • Taste
      90 90
Nutty, chocolatey, initially followed by a woven fruitiness and sweetness. The barrels left a very individual aroma, which I find very pleasant. The alcohol is super integrated and the distillate is creamy.
    • Finish
      89 89
The aftertaste is medium long and rather sweet and of chestnut or nutty nature than oak. A little dryness and a minimally alcoholic note can be felt.

Tasted over a period of 3 months, fading very slightly towards the end.
Allow a lot of time, a reduction to 48-50% can also be tolerated very well.
Otherwise, see Gogopro52, whose impressions and comments I fully share.
In addition, I would like to emphasize the well-integrated oak spiciness in the finish

    - a really good and tasty German whisky
    - special selection of barrels but the relatively young age is still more noticeable than with its predecessor (Malaga 2011/2018)
    - Despite many good properties (small edition, special barrels, no dye, attractive packaging,...) one should also on the
    stay carpet,
    - in view of the many Scottish "grenades" 90 points and more are quite high for this bottling
    • Nose
intense, dark fruits, intense fruity sweetness, very soft, balanced, grapes, red berries, peach,
    • Taste
oW: voluminous, intensive attack, strong, oppressive fruit notes, despite the high % it is still really drinkable neat

mW: intensely charged fruit notes, old grapes, old wood, red berries
    • Finish
      long powerful finish
      very long, intense aftertaste

Here we have a very, very tasty and dangerously drinkable malt.

Despite the Malaga storage, this malt is not as overly sweet as many other Malaga casks from the Harz region, which I like very much, according to the Emperor's Way and many handfilleds.

On the one hand I was looking forward to the nice and thick rosy sweetness, but on the other hand I was surprised that in addition to a fine raisin note, great other fruit notes played with my palate in this malt.

Banana, pineapple, beautiful raisin, white currant, caramel, oak, cinnamon bark, chocolate, cappucino, heart, what more could you want.

This is really a nice bottling that is perfectly ripe.

The price of 89 euros is my mn. completely justified, because the product brings:

    - Original bottling
    - only one (exceptional) barrel type
    - Age statement
    - Vintage
    - Bottlingdate
    - Wooden box

If the product came from a Scottish distillery (and I don't see any shortcomings in quality or taste here), it would be more expensive.

I accessed twice and am even considering taking a bottle with me on my next visit.

Unfortunately, the malt didn't come out in 2017, so "only" 91 points ... you get more demanding :-)
