  1. Calmar scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

A good smoky-peaty release, very soft, perfectly balanced, strong, industrial-mineral, smoky-peat and wood-coffee principles alternate in development.
    • Nose
Open, dry, peat, smoky notes, smoked meats, dry boards, lemon peel, industrial and mineral shades - dry plaster, stone chips, carbide; light putrid tones, turning leaves
    • Taste
Powerful, saturated, peat, smoke, some rubber, pepper wave, charred branches, cappuccino, nuts, sour mineral, ginger, grapefruit peel, grain, malt, sweet notes.
    • Finish
Soft, warming, peat, light smoke, smoked meats, metallic acidity, coated tablets, oak, grain, ginger, dark chocolate.

hmm Jura is already a category in itself
    very difficult to classify
I waver between going so well
    • Nose
light, minimal smoke, nutty, then fresh, light cheese
    • Taste
soft and round on the palate
      red, cherries, herb, herbs?
    • Finish
Oak, bitter, a note I can not call

  3. ErzWhisky scored this whisky 77 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
first smoke; slightly stinging; a bit sweetish and malty / cereal notes
    • Taste
      tingling; alcoholic; Smoke; Grain
    • Finish
quite long with smoke; getting a little bitter and dry; ash

Great nose, he can not convince me in the mouth. But very good average.
    • Nose
Not as smoky as expected at first glance. If you just let it stand, cold medical smoke comes through. Above all is a beautiful vanilla note. The high alcohol strength is not noticeable. Wood or typical tanins are not available at all. Custard at it's best.
    • Taste
Violent start, the alcohol is pushing with full force into the mouth. Only a hint of marzipan, mixes with eucalyptus and thus gets the barrel of his grand entrance. Tanine and season without end, then mint again.
    • Finish
With a clear, slightly woody tongue, he sounds.

    Tasting Notes by Jura;

Heavily peated with notes of pine wood and lemongrass.

One of our supreme Boutique Barrels range, this small-batch Bourbon offers you a taste of history. Want to know the flavour of eight years in American white oak barrels? Expect a rich hit of bonfire and peat smoke tempered by soft vanilla and floral notes.

Nose: Fresh, salty lemon with peat and light smoke, maritime notes appear, then a rather dull orange fruit with light vanilla aromas and hints of hay.
Taste: Sweet peat peppered with orange, lemongrass, a lot of salt and black pepper, a bit smokier than in the nose, but rather of thin consistency.
Finish: Long with smoky peat, towards the end earthier and drier with still a lot of lemon and salt on the tongue.

    • Nose
Lemon zest and cut hay. Cream vanilla and hints of fresh blossom, a little dried
herbal character, and rich peat smoke.
    • Taste
Black pepper and allspice, hints of barley malt,
orange peel, liquorice root and nutmeg. Very intense and rich.
    • Finish
Wood ash and spice on the finish. Hints of
