    He is really delicious and very set. However, one should also be honest: Too much sherry for a jumper.
    • Nose
      Plum chocolate cake, thick dry raisins, old wall unit, a lot of wet tobacco, orange marmalade, very rare comes even some mineral Springbank character through, sugar beet syrup, some spruce needles, after the first sip of much fresh and lively, orange chocolate
    • Taste
      Very thick, slightly peppery but mainly creamy, thick chocolate, no bitterness, but a lot of spice, you could chew forever, rum, it is getting thicker
    • Finish
      Very oily finish, subtle warmth, amazingly light oak, lots of creamy chocolate, mineral notes are always on top, slightly dry

    A quality springer that tastes older than what is stated
    • Nose
      90 90
      Old grumbly sherry so a good start, black currant, blackberry, dark treacle, there is some spice similar to ginger but heavier, old polished wood but actually I think it is ginger like the old Lyons ginger cake you used to get in the foil wrappers.
      Good nose and with time in the glass it gets better.
    • Taste
      91 91
      I was expecting more sweetness that what is on show initially and also this is spicier than the white capsule bottle I had before.
      What is clear is that there must be some much older casks in the mix so I wonder if they did something similar to the 12 year 100 proof and 12 year double dark bottlings and added older casks?
      After a few minutes in the glass it does sweeten up, dark berry’s mainly and a little damson and the spice angle subsides a little.
      Possibly a little dark marmalade orange which mixes with the spice and this has enough power to interest at 46%
    • Finish
      91 91
      Quite long remaing spicy and gaining a little sweetness on the tail.

    Old Genting
    • Nose
      Smell: very sherry, dried fruit and dark chocolate, not a sherry with a partial fruit flavor, a little smoke, the smell of tobacco wet from rain;
    • Taste
      Entrance: typical cloud top, minerality and salinity, orange peel and dark chocolate, it feels more like a first-time bucket, the eating bucket is very deep, with a clear sense of weight, and a sense of chewing;
    • Finish
      End rhyme: The end is also a feature of Genting, minerals and spices, herbs and dark chocolate, fat end rhyme, and finally there is a feeling of tannin tightening.

    • Nose
      Old school leathery sherry bomb, very seductive. A trio of peat-leather-darkchocolates. A lot of seaweeds here, salted salmon, octopus ink, soy sauce.
    • Taste
      Still rich and dusty, quite a lot of tannins, milky and creamy, top notch leather, not very sweet, roasted coffee bean, dates and fresh dark grapes, peaty and leathery.
    • Finish
      Long, aromatic and coffee, dates, and leather.
