Whisky Reviews for Inverleven 1990 GM

4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 82.75 points

  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

In my view these Inverleven's from G&M are a hidden gem and criminally underrated. I had a few of them from different vintages and I all liked them.
    • Nose
An unusual nose with lots of vanilla, honey and custard. Scented garden aroma of wild roses, thyme and lavender. Lemon grass. Orange peel and grapey notes. A little perfume at the background. Some malty notes as well.
    • Taste
Oily sweetness of beeswax, cake mix and candy floss. Also notes of butterscotch and fudge. Apple-mint. Sugared almonds as well. Herbs of cinnamon, aniseed and cumin.
    • Finish
Medium long. A little white pepper. Cedar wood. Ginger at the end.

  2. vojt466 scored this whisky 80 points Expert Senior

Uff, I have not been so disappointed for a long time - it's so sweet and a lot of sugar.
    • Nose
Nice thinter fruity scent: peaches, ripe pears, honey, apples, citrus fruits, later more distinctive woodiness and vanilla.
    • Taste
The taste is sweet to almost sweet, with its delicate spiciness and pepperiness and light traces of wax and earthy, and sadly a little detergent
    • Finish
In reverberation malt and fine spiciness - medium long

    Delicious whisky, unfortunately closed.
    • Nose
Soft, a slight smell of chewing gum coming from the vending machines off the street, right after that comes the Bourbon cask and some green apples.
    • Taste
Light, slightly oily, slightly spicy, and a little bitterness.
    • Finish
Again this bubble gum, gummy bear note. He does not immediately disappear from the mouth, but stays a little longer.
