Decent whisky. Meaningful, consistent, with a lot of nuances. A typical PC in flavor. Good saturation at all stages. Very drinkable.

Decent but quite simple, it doesn't evolve much as you take another sip

Strongly smoky malt, a worthy specimen, but straight to get out of the crowd, then not.

  7. domani scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

Remains largely pale compared to its predecessor, this was intense and aromatic with a pronounced bacon note. The warm smoke from the campfire is completely extinguished.
Despite the alcohol content, it is rather mild and reserved; rapidly loses its aroma with increasing oxygen in the bottle - 03/20/2020
    • Nose
      84 84
Pale, cold smoke, salty-maritime, grassy, woody, lime zest, slightly greasy, guanciale
    • Taste
      83 83
Very oily and mild, malty sweetness, astringent, fresh chilli, oak aroma
    • Finish
      82 82
Medium length, oily, aromatic, soft oak, bitterness of walnut

  13. Malthead19 scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

a really tasty combination of smoke and sweetness, whereby the sweetness is unfortunately dominated too much by the smoke, is very similar to the Ardbeg TEN, and in direct comparison also very similar (although I like the Ardbeg TEN a bit better), better than the Ardbeg ON OA
    • Nose
Smoke combined with bourbon sweetness, toffee, fudge, vanilla
    • Taste
sweet smoky onset, strong but still drinkable, astringent, ash, coal, vanilla, the smoke lasts for a very long time but unfortunately also covers a lot of the sweet flavors
    • Finish
      medium-long smoky finish;
long strong smoky aftertaste, the taste stays on the lips and palate for a long time

Room temperature when drinking: 15 ℃

    Heavily peated 40 ppm

    Viewing Eyes: Lemon

Smell Nose: the first part is slightly acid of red berries and preserved fruits, lemon peel, green fig leaves, fig flesh, limestone, alkali, waves and beach appear in the middle, slightly fishy and slightly fermented smell, stable, last transition To the end of the vanilla, white flowers, mints, bacon, a little wheaty. Oily feeling is more sufficient.

Taste Palate: high acidity in the mouth, lemon juice. The middle section is slightly sweet, with obvious white pepper and wood aroma, minerals, very salty seawater, soda lime, disinfectant, sea fish smell, the latter section is obviously sweet, lemon sauce + chiffon cake, peach, nougat ,coconut shell

Finishing rhinestones: Long, the numbness of peppercorns has always been present, mixed with fresh wood, sweet milk, grass roots, very strong Lipton black tea, disinfection water, baking soda, slightly bitter

Body of the wine: medium and fat, smooth, slightly thick

    Nose: 86/100

    Palate: 85/100

    Finish: 85/100

    Body: 86/100

    Overall: 85.5 / 100

Overall: sour, salty, bitter, slightly hemp, with a prominent flavor, but the balance is not bad, it is very individual and angular, and it is worth trying (it's still a whole bottle).
