  1. Igor_Gudimov scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

Nice mix of soft smokiness and fruitiness
Notes: after some heavily peaty and more strong whisky, can become very sour on the nose and just sweet on the taste
    • Nose
Smoke, green peat mixed with some fruity sweetness
    • Taste
Sweet white fruits mixed with a prominent but soft peatiness
    • Finish
      Long, peaty, slightly sour

Pleasant, mild, smoky malt. Great price-performance ratio!
    • Nose
Pleasant campfire smoke and honey. Very mild, citrus fruits, light vanilla and herbs.
    • Taste
First mild with citrus fruits, then a light alcoholic spiciness and later pleasant smoke.
    • Finish
Well balanced between fruit sweetness and smoke. Getting drier later. The smoke stays long and pleasant on the palate.

Mild and tasty Irish, simple and uncomplicated. Immediately present after opening, but then decreases noticeably after 4-5 weeks in the opened bottle and then becomes a bit boring. Very good value for money.

lots of fruit with ripe apples and a hint of banana. In addition, mild, pleasant smoke notes
    • Taste

soft and creamy. Smoke, sweetness and fruit beautifully combined. Light seasoning

just about medium length, otherwise like button

a relatively uncomplicated malt that has a light spiciness and smokiness.
[Air is apparently good for him -> the "smoke" increases with increasingly empty bottle; I haven't had it before, I'm easily confused; still gives an upgrade from 74 to 77]

first fresh fruit of a ripe (sweet) pear combined with a banana. Minimal (peat) smoke, but at the same time something lightly perfumed resonates. At the back I have a very light honey and caramel note of the character of a barrel. Later a little grass / hay aroma.
    • Taste
      80 80
very, very soft in the beginning, then a little peppery spice, but it keeps the frame. The pear is no longer quite as present, but recognizable. Now more peat / smoke. Overall warming and a creamy feeling.
Over time, I add a certain nut aroma (almond), but very subtle in the background.
    • Finish
      76 76
Medium length with light spice and some smoke (goes towards the campfire ash), which lasts longer. Later it becomes leatherier and for me drifts into a bitter note (dark chocolate with espresso) with a tobacco ash - but is still well integrated.
