Whisky Reviews for Teeling 18-year-old

- First impression: it does not match the level
the older teasels with the branded ones
tropical fruit notes.
The Madeira cask finish is, if anything,
only to guess. As a lover of
good Madeira, expected a little more.
Still a very good whiskey and I am
curious whether he is in the opened bottle
will develop positively.
The presentation and packaging of the bottle
is spectacular. Great bottle with heavy
Cork and wide metal handle.
The whole in a very beautiful and very
sturdy box with magnetic closure and
the bottle embedded in high quality
Foam. A big movie theater.
The collector will be delighted there.
- Woody, vanilla, some dried fruits
- Really enjoyable whiskey for the sweet tooth from Teeling here.
Overripe bananas, dried fruits, raisins, acetone/shoe polish, leather, cherry pie, buttery cinnamon, nutmeg.
Oily, full, good mouthfeel. Nice alcohol level. Begins with a large dose of muscovado sugar, which balances nicely with just hints of oak. Then come cloves, marzipan, ripe bananas, cherry pie, nutmeg, herbs, and just a slight hint of prunes.
Long, warm, spicy, with hints of tobacco and oak. Sweetness is nicely subdued.
intensely sweet; Caramel; fresh citrus note; slightly grassy; Malt; Seasoning (very light Christmas in the form of carnation)
soft; sweet; beautiful, spicy wood; Citrus; light cinnamon; dark dried fruit; now and then a hint of herbs;
spicy; now comes a nice nut; minimally tart, but still round. I really like it
