Glen Els Woodsmoked became Willowburn :-)
I would have preferred an ELSBURN Port Cask in the tradition of the Double Port or Triple Port, but this is really great stuff anyway.
In terms of intensity, this bottling comes astonishingly close to the old double port, although it lacks this extremely heavy, oily sweetness (which is not a disadvantage).
Nevertheless, full-bodied fruity, from currants to raspberries to cherries, great smoke, slightly ashy but perfectly integrated, nice cake notes, caramel, espresso, dark chocolate, walnut, oak.
A very nice packaging in my opinion.
And the PLV is really good in comparison with 89 euros.
In general, we do not need to talk about the fact that 175 marks is questionable for a bottle of schnapps, but on the whole it is not 3 euros, which puts it into perspective and makes me sleep. But there is better from SCO or IRL only for significantly more money, at least if it should come from the port barrel.
The Balvenie 21 port costs 170 euros, but is not twice as good, but essentially only different.
