Vanilla dominates the first smell, along with typical green apples and citrus fruits, still coated with vanilla and a little sugar. Slightly malty, and some honey, just a little wax.
Soft and without pungent alcohol, I would estimate older than 11 years based on nose.
In the mouth a little more alcohol, a little more strength, now more appropriate to the age. The fruits, green apples, citrus fruits, some grass and some oak dominate. Vanilla and light wax that covers everything. But I don't find any typical Dr Clynelish notes that are mineral or nothing salty or oily. So half a clynelish ;-)
Continue with great apples, citrus fruits and everything covered in light wax. The finish stays there for a long time and is really tasty with a bit of bitter oak.
A beautiful Clynelish with typical aromas, which shows the young age in the mouth but is a delicious drinking malt.
