  1. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Strong sherry bomb with a nice nutty sweet sherry aroma. A bit very hot on its own and with spices and liquorice. With water sweeter, pleasing but still expressive, maybe becoming a little too youthful, the barrel is already well applied to the young malt.
Those who are looking for monster barrel strength are well served here.

  2. RedBandit74 scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Sherry, sweetness, orange, dark chocolate, nuts, a little caramel - with water more nuts, almonds
    • Taste
Alcoholic spiciness, red fruits, chocolate, a little orange, a little caramel, oak
    • Finish
Oak, getting drier, a bit sweet, long

  3. Lukas_Kiene scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

A decent sherry stunner! The start is brutal, the barrel has worked properly and effortlessly plays its way into the foreground. The very high barrel strength and the intensive wood know how to hold their own. A dance of wonderful fruit flavors from the sherry barrel, charged with brute power!
    • Nose
Intense red fruits, cherries, intense spices, nuts, caramel, vanilla, dry oak, black and red currants, very strong nose, chocolate, intense sherry influence, dried fruits, dry oranges, prunes, light nut chocolate, a bit of a Christmassy bakery
    • Taste
Sweet syrupy red fruits, enormous oak spiciness, slight tendency towards bitterness, vanilla, citrus fruits, oranges, plums. Brutal start. The high barrel strength and the intense barrel cannot be denied even with water. Caramel, chocolate, coffee, bitter espresso
    • Finish
Slightly tart, red fruits, spicy oak, citrus peel, tart chocolate, dry coffee

  4. SwiftyMcVeigh scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

For less than 60 euros, a very good sherry stored whisky, which you do not notice its small age. Tolerates a lot of water.
    • Nose
      89 89
Diluted to about 55% with water: cinnamon, marzipan, walnut, almonds, ripe cherry, gingerbread, Christmas spices, orange peel and red currants, leather, furniture polish, sherry notes
    • Taste
      88 88
Creamy, sherry-fruity, slightly tart, red berries, dark chocolate, espresso and roasted aromas, almonds and nuts
    • Finish
      89 89
Long, becomes dry, spicy, reminiscent of rum. There remain the espresso and dark chocolate, as well as the almond and nut flavors.
