Citrus, hay, herbs and malt continues. With water some yellow fruit but also clear white pepper and then something comes through the oak. But you do not taste 26 years. Bought for 115 euros, but not a good plv

  2. Falnor scored this whisky 79 points Connoisseur

I knew in advance this wasn't all that great. Still after 26 years, I expected a lot more from this one.
    • Nose
Hard to find the character of this dram. Grassy, Hay, fresh grains all very light and slightly malty. Dusty notes, sharp citrus like lemon and green unripe melons.
    • Taste
Just a little bit disappointing. I don't taste the age or any matureness.
Sour fruit. Quite the peppery attack with a low abv. Green herbs like parsley. Anise and some canesugar.
    • Finish
A little bitter and misses a good finish.

An astringent and nervous Glenburgie. I do miss the sweetness.
    • Nose
Very cllean. Malty and grassy. Harshness. Hay and herbal. Metalic notes. Whiff of smoke.
    • Taste
Flowery. Oranges and pear. Marzipan. Slightly peppery. Oakiness. Coffee-ish.
    • Finish
Lots of dryness. Become bitter later on. Not really balanced in my view.
