Whisky Reviews for The Dubliner Rascals Brewing Company – Irish Coffee Stout
2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 78.33 points
- Light-fruity and citrus on the nose and palate, followed by cocoa and coffee, sweetness and malt, some oak in the mouth. Short finish.
- official information:
The Dubliner Irish Whiskey has collaborated with some of Ireland’s leading craft brewers to create the Dubliner Beer Cask Series. The first edition is with Rascals Craft Brewing Company whereby the three year old Dubliner blended whiskey was finished in coffee stout barrels. Only 600 bottles have been released for the Irish market.
The stout casks lend aromas of strawberry shortcake and rich tea biscuits with royal icing, followed by dried mango and ripe apricot fruitiness. Upon tasting, the apricot is abundant, heralding in flavours of melons, blackberry jam and Skittles, along with a rich, creamy note on the palate like warm Irish coffee, before a finish that is long and jammy, like a summer picnic.

Best enjoyed straight up with just a drop of water to release the aromas.
Taste: Beautiful grain whiskey generating rich dark chocolate, met with creamy coffee from the milk stout, balanced with tones of lemon peel & bourbon spice.
Aroma: Initial aromas offer a burst of honeyed sweetness, shifting into fresh green apples with soft nutmeg spice tingling towards the end.
Appearance: Light gold with darkened hue, Finish: Gentle nutmeg spices with toffee.
