Mahogany in the color, probably mixed with a lot of dye.

Slightly piercing, artificial, but also wooden aromas.
Pretty interesting, because I smell neither fruit nor spice.

Quite strong in the mouth, I would not have guessed so.
Here, too, the woody notes dominate, slightly spicy.
I think the additives cover everything here.

You do not have to have that ...

Disappointing ... except for sugar couleur and a stylish label, this whisky has nothing to offer. Rather, what's on the shelf / for the optics than for the glass ... and if, then without water ...
    • Nose
The nose gets sweet malt with a slightly tart note that reminds of cola. A little bit brittle and pungent in the nose. Even more malty with water, cola chewy sweets. Without depth or character.
    • Taste
Soft entry, velvety, fluffy. Some coffee, hence the slightly bitter pull on the tongue. A slight sprightly sharpness. Water totally kills him. The coffee tone remains washed out, otherwise there is only the memory of a totally diluted Coke.
    • Finish
Only licorice and gradually diminishing slight sharpness. Minimal malty with water. What remains is the taste of wine gum-Colafläschchen, which has been washed down with plenty of carbonated water.

Ufff like that I have not been frosting for a long time like this miracle :)
    • Nose
Caramel, vanilla, lemons, raisins - it's not bad in the scent
    • Taste
In taste, caramel, vanilla, molasses and perhaps bitter chocolate - the flavor is so much unconventional and extremely flat, and with every soda worse and worse
    • Finish
In the reverberation of karameeeel, chocolate and finally the extreme abominable bitterness, until one forgets Fernet

Got him from the last trip to Scotland. Value for money: well.
    • Nose
      sweet, caramel, tofffie
    • Taste
like a liqueur; sweet, little coffee and caramel,
    • Finish
      finish? - no real departure.

Somehow its nose is even worse than Loch Dhu's. But otherwise it somehow eeks in just slightly better than The Black Lake. (Rating: 47)

    • Nose
Ooh, very cabbagey. Farty fart farty. Pencil graphite meets imitation vanilla extract meets brown sugar meets styrofoam. Lots of sour milk and warm Coca Cola.
    • Taste
So much caramel. Weird sweetness, maybe aspartame? A cardboard box holding burnt prunes, ground black pepper, and overripe bananas. And the sour milk.
    • Finish
Rotting veg, burnt grass, Jersey City. Longer than a goddamn car alarm.

  8. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

I do not think so bad. Of course, it never tastes like the color comes from the barrel and is not a masterpiece of complexity. But anyway, the dark color somehow fits the bittersweet notes, he is not sprittig or too lax / tasteless, the presentation I like, overall a sympathetic overall package. A nice gag in the bar, what he wants to be well, the 25 € are OK.
    • Nose
quite mild, sweet, caramel, nougat, candy ... slightly burnt
    • Taste
bittersweet, candy, latte, a light hint Kamillan, some pepper
    • Finish
medium, coffee, a hint of liquorice

  10. Georges scored this whisky 48 points Connoisseur

Almost as bad as the loch dhu...almost.
    • Nose
      Sweet honey, coffee, burnt wood
    • Taste
      Bitter, cold coffee, sugary
    • Finish
      Short, oranges
