Really a great whisky that tastes as good as the bottle looks ;-)
I'm totally into a nut nut like here in the mouth. With it you break open doors with me.
    • Nose
starts very creamy and fruity, red berries, which bring a slight acidity, roasted nuts behind, there is a berry sweetness, a little chocolate, a short hint of Mon Cherie, it gets thicker over time, the chocolate is more and more crowded Foreground, Lumumba, I feel like I'm standing at the Christmas market, nice
don't need water, but why not play a little: more chocolate creamy, slightly greasy
    • Taste
oily, full-bodied, wow, very tasty, roasted nuts, with the red berries, cherry, blends very well, dark chocolate with a dash of espresso, a little oak, great mouthfeel, almost syrupy, does not need water, the second sip now the fruit more dominant, a total fruit / berry bomb, great
in the mouth he loses something with water, so stay away from the water ;-)
    • Finish
the mouth is full of tingling aromas, the nuts last a long time, it gets fruity with cherry, from time to time there is creaminess from the chocolate, warming and long-lasting

According to the Wacken brewery, it is a 2007 Craigellachie that has been aged in Recioto and Amarone barrels for almost two years.

This was one of the best sips I had in 2019.
A dark red liquid, which is creamy and lingering warm in your mouth, has a slight sense of spicyness in it and a full body of more than enough red fruits flavour, to level out this very high percentage of alcohol.
Let it breath for a moment and give it a nice hand warm temperature and it will open up.
Play with some water and you have an whole eve of joy in your glass. If you like to delute your sips down, as I do, you will find even very soft and gentle flowery notes when you come to the 45%-40% Alc. mark.
Summary: A very complex dram, with a wonderful mouth feel and even better fruity notes. Even the high alc. percentage is not knocking your flavour receptors down.
A well produced dram, worth its money. Thanks for that.

Powerful fruit, cherries and berries, sweet and complex. Hardly noticeable alcohol.
Clear alcohol note with a little water, with a little over 50% massive raspberry aromas.
    • Taste
      92 92
      Dense texture, cherries, plums, berries.
      No oak.
With just over 50% raspberries and strawberries.
Then very balanced and gentle. Creamy strawberry sweets with raspberry splashes.
    • Finish
      93 93
Dark fruits alternate undiluted for a long time in waves.
At just over 50%, a hint of oak, which arrives as bitter fruit notes.
      Wild strawberries and ripe raspberries.
Fully ripe fruit with alternating sweet and tart notes.
