    Thank you @Andytka3 for sharing

Nose - Nice sweet caramel syrup smell, malt like nose however in this case should be Wheat, some hops
Palate - Initial sweetness, tingling peppery numbness,
Finish - lingering cost of sweetness, shortly warming the throat a little

1469) Gooderham & Worts, 49, Wellington, 19YO, 4 Grain Blend with Red Winter Wheat

An old brand traced back to 1837 when William Gooderham expends his milling into distilling by his mill waste such as leftover wheat and middling. A company with prominent influence to the development of Toronto city back then. Sold to Hiram Walker during the Prohibition and now owned by Pernod Ricard. The address 49 refer to the iconic red brick building which house the headquarter of Gooderham & Worts Distillery until 1952.
    • Nose
N- Firstly, I am not much of a Wheat fan, as often the abrasive medicinal sweetness will run riots in most blends. But not with this one, years well spent in fine oak barrel attributes to the smoothness, mellow and creamy with premium liquorice candy. The usual Vanilla, sour plum and oak spices lives in harmony. Evolved to complex toasted husk, sweet peppercorn, roasted coffee bean with caramel. Lasted well on good stamina. (90/22)
    • Taste
P- Teasing chewiness with sweet Hudson's red berries candy, rounded with full flavour. Good strength that you don't feel it exists but submerge you into it. Best liquorice candy putting up a great show. Absolute pleasure and tasty sips, not often I would refill my sample bottle again from a whiskey that I had tasted, except this one. (90/22)
    • Finish
F- Medium long, finely concocted Campari Orange, hint of non-sticky sweet medicinal liquorice with ripe red fruits that halted with timely dryness, szechuan pepper numbness and warming spices prevails. Elegant stuff. (92/23)

B/B- 92/23 May be heavily 'crafted', but very well done Dr. Livermore.

      Weighted Rate- 90pt

Caramel centered, with a baking spice heat. Very much Canadian, but better than most and easily enjoyed neat.
