Almost the best you can do for modern an glenmoraigian.
    • Nose
Tobacco, rancio, salts, farms, dirty, lemons, citrus.
    • Taste
Dangerously drinkable, orange juice, Banana, young lemony, fruity sweet n sour, the body is slightly off the strength.
    • Finish
      Dried, bittersweet. Long and citrus.

You can drink it, but "sulphur whisky" is not really my thing.

Has absolutely nothing to do with a standard Glenmorangie bottling. Unfortunately, the sulfur note spoils the whisky...

  5. rottendon scored this whisky 73 points Connoisseur

That stuff is pretty nasty, not my thing at all.
Tried again two days later, the notes would have written like this again.

    Notes from a blind tasting.
    • Nose
      80 80
Gentle smoke and some caramel are on the nose immediately after pouring, starts closed. Some smoked meat and smoldering herbs appear, the alcohol tickles the nose, herbal schnapps, cough syrup, buttery sweetness in between. After a somewhat longer standing time, the herbal schnapps impression has intensified, even if it soon appears even more reserved overall. Not even heat can open it, only the rising alcohol now reaches an uncomfortable level. Only very late does sweetness come forward again and pulls the whole thing away from the bitterness, but it doesn't really open up either.
    • Taste
      68 68
And it's not really better in the mouth either, the alcohol burns, herbs in the foreground, the whole thing swims in honey, OK, it's more like whisky again. To the rear liquorice. The mouthfeel is quite oily, like chili oil, but the alcohol itself doesn't seem particularly young here, just very aggressive. In the second sip, it becomes particularly clear how much it dries towards the end and develops this bitter, cooling salmi note. Feels like eucalyptus but doesn't taste like it.
    • Finish
      72 72
The finish is rather quick and mainly consists of the fact that the alcohol-cooled mouth slowly warms up again. Ditto in the second sip, only longer and more bitter.
