Archer scored this whisky 88 points

This 18yo makes me waver again in my (pre -?) Judgment: aroma-like build-up of tension, rounded off without being boring, tasty on the tongue, long finish. In addition natural color and non chill filtered - a whisky that makes you want to explore it for a whole bottle.

Blackberry jam, black currants, spiced plum jam (Aachener Pflümli), pepper, nutmeg. Very tasty mixture, looks fresh despite the dark fruits and spices.

Berry mix with almonds, hazelnuts, toffee and hazelnut chocolate. Cold coffee, chopped chestnuts. Earthy, loamy with leather and tobacco leaves. Dried plums, raisins, dried figs, bay leaves, nutmeg, paprika. The spices are added late after the berries and almonds / nuts have already gone.

Medium to long, creamy. Soft without being irrelevant. For a long time you have something of the flavors from the palate, nothing breaks here.
