A strong, powerful, full of yellow fruits release.
    • Nose
Lime and green apples, duchess pears and apricots, lime honey, apple jam.
    • Taste
Sweet, a little dusty, sharp, floral, but full of yellow fruits.
    • Finish
      Sweet, very powerful, yellow.

Here he is a classic bourbon Ailovian.
Aroma: hay, grass, green apples, light, very pleasant smoke.
Taste: probably the strongest side, exotic fruits, mostly bananas, of course a light and very pleasant smoke, with a high strength, very pleasant and drinkable, I really want to take the next sip faster. The second is more prickly, wood, something woolen and sheep's wool, how do I know the taste of sheep's wool, maybe after tasting homemade cheeses))
Aftertaste: green apples, light pleasant pepperiness and pleasant campfire smoke that does not fade for a long time.
    An excellent specimen!

Doesn't quite meet my personal taste, but it is an exciting and intense experience. Lochindaal fans will get their money's worth. The bottling is no longer available. I don't think the currently quoted average price of 110 € for this bottling is excessive.

Great, powerful smoke. For me there is something indefinable here (country air with some nail polish remover?). I already know this note from Lochindaal bottlings. For me it still takes getting used to.

Good start, but mild for over 63% vol. Sweet and musty. With a little water and time in the glass, I like it much better in terms of taste.

Unexpectedly short and less spectacular than I expected. Slightly peppery with water. Still intense and exciting.

    whiskyfun.com review:
Those fine people at Dramfool are still getting away with murder with these strengths… Don’t they actually ADD ethanol? Seriously, Bruichladdich fill at super-high strength, so no surprise here. As for Lochindaal, it’s supposed to be a style (so peat level) that sits between Port Charlotte and Octomore, around 50-60 ppm peat if I’m not mistaken. They haven’t made much of it, have we ever seen any official Lochindaal? What I seem to remember is that there also used to be some indie Bowmore called ‘Lochindaal’. But enough babbling… Colour: white wine. Nose: smoked mint leaves, perhaps, olives for sure, some kind of oil… sesame, perhaps? Smoked sesame oil? This is pretty unusual, and to be honest, the super high strength blocks it a wee bit. With water: oh yes, kiln, dough, grist, yeasts, porridge, tarmac, burnt kerosene… And olives! Olives in Bruichladdich, really? Mouth (neat): kerosene and lemon-scented sanitizer. Too strong for this sissy of a taster. With water: a blade, all on lemon, salty oysters, ink, dough and petrol. It’s really very salty, rather saltier than both PC and Octo. Finish: long, on pure brine and smoked clams. Almond oil. Comments: spectacular and simply very good, but they should give you a free bottle of water with each bottle. I mean…
