This Port Wood Single Cask got some wood and cork for my taste.
A hint of raspberry syrup blowing from the glass. Tree resin. Freshly barked branches. Milk chocolate. The distillery character is hidden behind the port.
Milk chocolate, caramel. Juniper berries, cranberry juice.
Soft start with a high proportion of wood. Cork taint. Sweet raspberries, strawberry jam. Clay soil, mushrooms. Wood and cork are very dominant and season well. Peppermint candy, a little liquorice.
Dry and spicy finish, in which sweet fruit along with wood and cork are still the key. Menthol.
