Tremendous bourbon. Comparing alongside WLW 2016 and Elijah Craig Barrell Proof B517 and this blows the Elijah Craig away and is in the same league as the WLW.
Deep notes of molasses, cherry, caramel, treacle on the nose. The palate is similar, going more to cinnamon and nutmeg in the finish.
I rate it almost as highly as the WLW in terms of quality. Not the most complex bourbon but has so much flavour and hits all the right notes without being too oak-driven.
In fact I think this is a perfect bourbon for a whiskey drinker who likes to sometimes drink bourbon. Hardcore bourbon fans might want more wood influence, but for me that dry oak note is too off-putting. This has very little oak influence compared to other bourbons including the WLW
