The nose exhibits a surprisingly modern sherry profile with red fruit, furniture polish, fresh apples, leather and sage. Initially the aroma is a bit closed, but with more time and oxygen, strawberry jam, herbs and hints of raspberry tart and tropical fruits emerge. The oak wood is noticeable in the form of chocolaty-tart notes.
Very modern, quite high quality and sufficiently complex. The alcoholic note can be controlled very well with a little water.
Red fruits, cherries, orange marmalade, peach and nutmeg are part of a vibrant interplay on the palate. A hint of furniture polish and dry oak wood are also added. Very high quality, but the distillery character doesn't have much room to maneuver with this cask influence.
Grape nut chocolate, espresso, sun-dried fruits and various spices - a very fruity and colorful finish that lingers for a long time. Delicious!
