- Very a-typical Macduff, never had one before with such a peaty influence. Very interesting for sure, and besides that, it's just a very nice whisky as well. Strong and intense.
Full scent, a lot of fruit, prunes, also a clear hint of peat, 'Scapino effect' as I get with many peated whiskies (but actually never with a MacDuff...). Fake leather, rubber, some tobacco and roasted meat.
Strong, red fruits, berries, a lot of pepper, still a hint of smoke, pure chocolate. Very intense.
Still powerful, smoke and red fruits, a peaty edge, tobacco, long finish. Very intense.
- Shame on MMA to award this Gold and Best Sherry in 2020
