Whisky Reviews for Croftengea 2006 Wy
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.40 points
restrained clay and smoky in nature
there are not so many rounded flavors
at the beginning we can state that it is very fruity and honey
Apple-cirtus-fruit sweetness with a bit of subtle smoke in the background.
According to the 46 percent round and mildly harmonious. The apple note hovers over everything with vanilla and honey.
Everything is rather simple and not very complex, but very, very nice and tasty to smell.
Here a slight acidity that tingles. Very easy here and at most a tick more than an all-day dram. A slightly buttery bitterness remains.
Short to medium length
Description nails it. Literally a burnt honeypot, containing a thick mixture of 10 different honeys, interfered with (young) smoke. Sweet as hell, maple sirup, slight bacon notes. Creamy. Nice and thick, but not very complex.
First impression is a bit watery, subsequently the honey peak kicks in, followed by warm smoke and overwhelming sweetness. Sweetness, sweetness, getting dry in the end.
Honey and smoke remains, getting slightly bitter.
Its a drinking whisky, to be paired with a BBQ w/ friends which can easily get out of hand, however, there are cheaper (and better) alternatives.
