Colour: Sparkly lemon gold
Someone sniffed a handful of barley; the Livet-lass described a buttercup field - with beehives - “more honey than Winnie the Pooh!” Then honeycomb crunch ice-cream, lemon puffs, exotic fruits, jasmine tea and roses. Rose and jasmine (garden centres?) affected the palate also - along with intense vanilla pod, orange oil, orange pekoe tea, fresh oak, lemon zest and some dry smoke. The reduced nose had the skins of melon and mango, freshly painted rooms and chalk dusters. On the reduced palate, rhubarb rock and freshly laundered towels intrigued us - sweet but complex - delightful and interesting. The distillery has the tallest stills anywhere.
