Strong spice monster. By no means too cute. Licorice, bitter almond, lavender, toffee, violets, wood

Sherry, sweetness, a bit of spice, a bit of spiciness, coffee, oak, tastes much older than it is, a lot of barrel - little whisky

Sweetness, oak, spiciness, medium to long

fine, luckily no bomb, nice and high in alcohol.

  6. Don Cassi scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

The nose starts with tobacco, dark sherry fruit (similar to Glendronach ????), chocolate and some polish. Overall relatively sweet and full, the alcohol is very well integrated.

The alcohol tingles violently in the mouth, then intense fruity-spicy wood aromas spread. It looks older than the label.

The finish is mainly spicy with a lot of wood, also slightly sweet and a little bitter with espresso.
    Length: 4/10

A very barrel-dominated, straightforward, dark sherry barrel representative that unfortunately doesn't leave much of the whisky. The nose is still very interesting and varied, but it looks a bit too hot in the mouth and unfortunately too one-dimensional in the finish, a shame.

    Grade: 2+

What a fantastic sherry expression. Rum raisins with plums and fine woody influence comes afterwards, creamy feel, the alcohol isnt noticeable. You can have it neat after given a little time to breath. Tastes much older. Wow, cant imagine what an old macallan could do better....

It is a very fine Whisky. Heeps of raisins some leather and a lot of spices. I can only recommend it.

    • Nose
No compromise. The Aultmore never hides its barrel storage, the Pedro Ximénez squeezes out of the glass with strength and sticky-boiled sweetness. The whole thing is supplemented by a few herbal notes and fresh berry acid
    • Taste
dark honey, fruit tea and some spices that make you think of coffee and cocoa powder, as well as cinnamon. Not insanely deep and complex, but certainly a great dessert whisky
    • Finish
      malty and reverberant sweet

  13. WantsWhisky did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Most likely to be an Aultmore.

Woody sherry notes. Tobacco. Like in a long-established cigar shop.
    • Taste
      87 87
Dark chocolate, leather, shoe polish, wood chips
    • Finish
      85 85
Acts significantly older. Dried fruit note sticks to the palate.
