    • Nose
completely different from the parallel tasted Callisto VIII. Clearly different smoke character, rather greasy and meaty. The umami notes grow stronger over time, reminiscent of soy sauce. Overall, not much different from the Hydra I, although the wood in the smoke is a bit more subdued and the fruits are more boiled down and not as sugary. Possibly a more oxidized port
    • Taste
again a leathery-meaty component, a bit salty, with smoke that is a bit more reserved compared to Hydra I. Must of not too sour plums, finely seasoned with spice
    • Finish
sweet and also with less smoke in the throat than the predecessor

The nose is almost stormed by red and dark forest fruits. A fine smoke component mixes elegantly, but remains reserved and discreet. The alcohol is relatively tender, with the 63.2% suggesting otherwise. Somehow if you mix jam with cold ashes, something meaty is definitely there too. Very intense and exciting and almost sweet. Definitely fancy the first sip.

As far as the taste is concerned, he remains, as hoped, incredibly intense and sweet. Wine gum, red grits with fine smoke dominate the whole picture. Some dryness runs briefly over the tongue and occupies this. Once again, the full sweetness plays out the "DELICIOUS" card. Can you suck nice, the alcohol shows up for me completely in the frame, not too much but already neat.
Added to this is some leather and a light acid, before he strikes warmly. Herbs are definitely there to taste. The whisky rolls through the palate to the finish. Delicious!
    • Finish

The finish remains beautiful Sweet and long-lasting, the smoke is great involved and leaves the remaining whisky much room to unfold further.

Great whisky. I liked that very much.
    • Nose
      Notes from blind tasting.

      Colour:
      copper

      Nose:
Starts with a really sweet berry aroma. Raspberries, red currants. In addition, a nice wood stove smoke. Damp wood, tobacco and a bit of glue.
With a little time in the glass, the herbal notes become more intense and the tobacco drier. Bell pepper chips and damp hay.
    • Taste
Powerful start. Dried fruit and nice and pleasant smoky. Sweet wine gummy bears, raspberries, slightly chocolatey, espresso and subtle nut flavors.
    • Finish
Long. Smoky and fruity sweetish. In addition a nice seasoning.

Sulfur, fruity notes, nuances of strawberry or forest berries, fleshy
Alcohol very much in the background, no trace of the 63%

With 55 to 60% thinned down, even more berry notes come out. The sulfur goes down.
    • Taste
      88 88
First oily, sweet, then the alcohol comes with a crowbar.
Something like Caol Ila or Ledaig
      Sulfur, berries and dry
      Again, meat to chew on

With water, more smoke and sulfur.
    • Finish
      87 87
Slowly and dirty he goes down his neck.
      Medium-long finish.
There would be more to it
