- Creamy, woody, with very little smoke.
It doesn't overwhelm anyone.
Tart, spicy and dry.
It's good to drink ...
- Excellent crafted drink, truly rich, but considering the price a little too expensive.
The nose is very fresh and promising. There is some sort of sparkle there, combined with hints of white pepper and gentle citrus aromas.
Full taste with a strong reference to the wood of the barrel. The taste is a dance with wood circling around floral tones. Soft hints of melon. Well balanced :-) ...and at the back of the mouth there is a hint of distant smoke.
Peppery aftertaste with a comfortable mouth feeling. The Nikka Single Malt Yoichi is royal and smooth, but unfortunatly the aftertaste is (too) short.
