Whisky Reviews for Kilchoman Belgium

- Nice nose, it is a little too watered down in my mouth, but still good to drink. Rather something for friends of dry whisky.
slightly effervescent, in the direction of raspberry, fresh mint, light honey sweetness in the background, short caramel, dark chocolate is added, the smoke is there, but not dominant, brings light spice, overall rather dry, a short hint of nut, overall it looks very full and also warming, over time the aromas become denser, the chocolate and spice come to the fore, the freshness fades away, some iodine, can also be interpreted as greasy, in the background also creamy with vanilla, pepper flashes from time to time, after the first sip a citrus note is added, chocolate remains dominant
some watery mouthfeel at the beginning, chocolate, salt, greasy, sour raspberry, rather dry, ashy smoke, cinnamon, now it becomes more intense, creamy, really neat salt, some wood, with the last sip also vanilla, which brings a very slight sweetness
dry, bittersweet, hazelnut, smoke, ashy, very dry mouthfeel, salt, but now a little less, a hint of red berries on the palate, warming and stays in the mouth for a long time
- Class! STR and Kilchoman seem to harmonize pretty well with each other.
Raisin-sweet, fermented grapes, sweet raspberries, warm smoke. Looks quite "fat" and thick. Dark chocolate, toffee, leather. In addition, slightly spicy and with a fine ginger note.
Fruity, full and viscous appearance with raisins, dried figs, nougat, leather, pepper and warm smoke. The initial thickness gives way to a dryness that can increase the phenolic smoke. Marzipan bread, clove powder, pimento. The aromas are retained for a long time and are close together.
Medium length and only slightly dry finish. Dried fruits are still frolicking, a hint of strawberry jam pulls through. An echo of the raspberries from the nose.
