Whisky Reviews for St. Kilian 2016
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.80 points
- A little better than the St. Kilian from the Pinot Noir barrel (WB: 140008), but far from being really tasty or somehow interesting. Too young, too immature and with an added fruit note that disappears much too quickly. After all, without major bad marks.
Looks - not surprisingly - quite young and the fruity notes of the Sauternes barrel are very high. Still okay, because the fruit sweetness comes into its own very nicely. At no time can he hide the youth.
Fickle and very out of round. Young and with an unpleasant alcohol note, the fruit sweetness fades quickly. What remains is a dry oak note and a slightly metallic note.
Short and quite flat, but the dry metallic oak note sticks to the palate. The weakest part of this time.
