Somehow meaningless in taste. And a short finish complete this whisky.
Of the three malts: Edited, Bold and Brilliance, I personally think the Brilliance is clearly the best; this one is possibly midfield.
[75 - 71 = above average --- maybe for an every day dram]
exotic spice (cardamom, aniseed, coriander) and floral on the nose. Then some honey and caramel, but turned down a lot.
The alcohol stings your nose every now and then, but it is not extreme and always goes away quickly.
Some herbs (herbal sweets) and fresh oak, which have a slight sweetness, but you can't really grab them.
first soft start, then spicy-peppery, the spice immediately sucks the liquid out of the cheeks, it becomes very dry. Some liquorice (turning bitter) appears.
The malt is getting drier, but it doesn't last long ...
Youthful sharpness is noticeable. During the follow-up test, I still had nuances of marzipan / roasted almonds on the back.
very short; some spice and oak as well as liquorice aroma.
