This is another item on my site from the Armorik series. Overall, I like this type of whisky and I'm slowly becoming a fan of it. A very nice dessert item with a slight hint of smoke and honey bitterness.
    • Nose
      84 84
very fruity, apple, pear, delicate pineapple, vanilla, then there is smoke from the fire, ash and a bit of pharmacy notes, lignin
    • Taste
      85 85
quite smooth, sweet, again vanilla, lemon peel, honey, pinch of pepper, polished oak
    • Finish
      85 85
medium, sweet, raisins, slightly bitter, with a honey accent, the end is quite sweet and warming

Yes, this is a single malt, but incomparable to anything I've ever tasted.
    • Nose
Yes, there's some peat influences here (soft smoke and just some light medicinal notes) but that's not what stands out at first. It's mainly fruits like green grapes and peach, accompanied by sweet pastries and vanilla.
    • Taste
Proper oily stuff, quite thick. Notes of juniper, pine needles and charred wood. Very different than any peated single malt I've ever tried. It's herbacious and the peat is very vegetal, but there's also roasted peanut skins and plenty of spices.
    • Finish
Lots of pepper, gentle orchard fruits. Medium in length.

the peat of the house with 80% malted barley of the soil and 20% from the Speyside for a single distillation every month of September:
nose on spices, fruits, floral sensation and vanilla.
The mouth brings a fine smokiness rather than peat, fresh fruit on peaches and pears, a little vanilla, freshness in the mouth, a little grassy, a little mineral too, but light scents.
The finish is nice, sweet, here smoke and cold ashes, fruits in withdrawal, spices always present.
