- I know someone who had hazelnut cream here ;-)
- Creme Brulee with orange zest on the nose. Great aroma.
Unfortunately, the great impression flattens out in the mouth. Still nice and creamy and elegant. A pleasant wood note spreads in the mouth.
Departure is rather short.
88 points for the great aroma and pleasant mouthfeel. For a 90 rating, something more should have come in the mouth and in the finish.
- Full bodied oily whisky with balanced sweetness, wood and spices. Excellent swimmer - playing with water brings longer finish and more comfy mouth.
- SMWS Tasting Notes: The nose had a lovely complexity of marzipan and almond oil, but also a hint of sweet tobacco and leather as well as perry pear crumble with cinnamon custard. We were all eager to move on and have a try – a rich mouth-feel with a balance between fruity juicy oranges and spice (cloves and cardamom). When we added a drop of water, herbal aromas appeared first followed by plenty of vanilla like being served Grand Marnier strawberry sundaes. Sweet and fruity with hints of herbal earthiness on the palate reminded us of a Rhum agricole from the French Caribbean islands.
