So we have a kind of a word game (COED_ONADO) for this cask.
The Japanese Coedo did a Black Stout in this cask, the Americans an IPA.
There is a lot of dark roasted beer sprit in this Chichibu, if you don't like the regular IPA, you won't like this as well. But if you like this type of cask maturation, you need to check this...
We have a kind of new school Chichibu (which has a tad more white pepper and spices), but the cask adds bold, oily and very sweet notes to the whisky.
This is the opposite to a gentle old school 1960ies Glen Grant - sitting in chesterfield leather armchair. This is kind of new wave of whisky, colourful, youth-driven, against all rules.
The label shows an artistic bird view on the Chichibu map.
