ARDBERG scored this whisky 87 points

Part of a six 50ml bottle set I shared with a friend.
Overall the whiskies couldn't hide to be from the same family. Very dense and absolutely packed with flavour in a way that I can't remember tasting before. Seems to be a style that is rather targeted to be bottled at youger age which is no contradiction to maturity here. Not sure the whisky could take a longer time in the cask, there is no reason for it either.
I wish I had more than the 25ml. There is lots to explore.
The virgin oak scores one point higher with water as it gets more elegant.
