Overall the whiskies couldn't hide to be from the same family. Very dense and absolutely packed with flavour in a way that I can't remember tasting before. Seems to be a style that is rather targeted to be bottled at youger age which is no contradiction to maturity here. Not sure the whisky could take a longer time in the cask, there is no reason for it either.
I wish I had more than the 25ml. There is lots to explore.
The virgin oak scores one point higher with water as it gets more elegant.
gentle VO nose, sweetness, wood, slight yellow fruits (plums)
VO, wood, root beer, sweet, cinnamon - the wood grips the tongue
medium+, warming, with wood on tongue, cinnamon
