- The Glenallachie 15 that I tried has the barcode: 5060568320960
5cl sample. The nose is not mine. The taste is much better. I don't really need a whole bottle :)
Gin? The first time I smell it, I have an extremely strong note of juniper berries in my nose that I only know from gin. Then comes shower, glue, pineapple, citrus and a light vanilla bean
Spicy and sweet with nuts, caramel, chocolate sauce, light wood and cloves. Rather on the spicy side.
Medium length, sugar-cinnamon, slightly dry oak at the end

A sweet, fruity, easy going, friendly and appealing whisky. Possibly an ideal daily sipper. There's pretty complex flavours, but it's all so friendly, I'd almost wish for a bit more of a challenge. Scores around 86-87 points (based on the initial dram).
Retasted it just now and it seems a little flatter and sharper in the finish. Still very tasty and pretty good value for money though (around €60 in NL).
My initial guess: first fill sherry cask, 12 to 15 years old, abv 46% maximum (but probably even lower), a speysider (Aberlour/Balvenie?)... or something completely different of course.
a syrupy sweet and very friendly nose, candy shop, forest fruit jam, blueberry, blackberry, sour cherries, a little bit floral (lavender), toffee, some almonds, milk chocolate (praline).
creamy, sweet and fruity. Not very high in alcohol but damn tasty, dark and red fruits, blueberries, cherries, sweet tangerine, gumdrops, fudge, dark chocolate, coffee bitter, subtle wood spices like clove and sweetish pepper.
Medium to long - quickly dissipating dark sweet fruits shifting into loads of dark chocolate and cocoa, ending with wood spices and a little espresso note. The latter notes linger pretty long.

This looks like a savory sherry ripened whisky. Many spices such as cardamom, old spice and five spice.
With some time and air, chocolate comes up and that dominates considerably.
Indeed a full sherry mouth, but one with a lot of chocolate and pure cocoa influences.
Relative average length. The sherry influences continue to predominate. There is still some glue in the finish. Not disturbing, but recognizable.

Aftertaste: bitter, woody

Almost brown. Sweet fruit, very sweet, raisin, prune, light spicy. Good body. Nice.
- Good depth of profile on show, but tastes a little manufactured to me, that is a hard one to describe bit it is almost like it has been deliberately dulled down?
Similar to the 12 just more of it, lots going on, stewed dark fruit, plum, redcurrant, blackcurrant with hints of white pepper and ginger
A little dry at first and not very sweet on sour fruits is my first impression.
It does sweeten up and there is a little sulphur on show but the dark fruit sweetens up.
