    Colour:
    gold
    Nose:
A sweetish-creamy and voluminous character is in the glass. Starting with pistachio aromas in the nose, both as a jelly and as a freshly broken shell. There are also metallic notes, some cucumber, as well as fruity accents of lime, soft lemon, pineapple and mango. Underground is a fascinating spice of Thai curry, cumin, harissa and other Asian spices. Moist moss, leather, coffee beans and mocha complement this great nose perfectly!
    Taste:
Full spicy and dominant! First class, again powerful and creamy, sweet and salty at the same time! With white pepper, red pepper, fruity-red cranberries, some rosehip, leather and vanilla. Now slightly degrading, however, the whining on a high level - for us a great 92P taste!
    Finish:
Max. Medium length - ending with the notes of the taste. Barely getting drier and still united with "everything in harmony"!
    92 points
    N: 92P / G: 92P / F: 91P
Perfect start - well done Christian !!!

Oohh yes it is. I blindly bet on a 20-year-old Speyside / Highlander from a 60s refill sherry barrel. I don't know how Dully got this barrel.

In terms of taste, a mix of a Bowmore Deluxe and a 12 year old (dumpy bottle, 80s'), but without the smoke but luckily with more bums thanks to the barrel strength.

Nose: Tropical fruits, OBF, spices, horny oak flavor. Really oily and herbal like sherry cask bottlings from the good old days.

Palate: does not stop, a lot of OBF, tropical, herbaceous.

This is exactly the stuff I'm looking for. I'm glad there are still such barrels without sulfur at an affordable price. Many thanks to Dully for the excellent barrel selection!

Sorry no notes tasted at a show but this is really tasted and worth a buy in my view, certainly one of the best Fettercairn I have tried.

Intense, fruity, peach, apple, pear, honeydew, cereals, dry hay, yellow berries, cooked mash, little citric, vanilla - very good
    • Taste

Punchy, oily, creamy, good sweetness, fruity, more apple and pear, white grapes, white wine, ginger - still good

Long, warm, fruity, citric, spicy - water recommended

Beautiful Fettercairn, everything is consistent, from front to back.
    More of that.
Reminiscent of older bottled bottled in the 70s.
    Clear buy recommendation.

N: Monkey nut/peanut oils with the skin and shells alongside a hessian note.
T: Comes in [abv] strong and fizzy. It’s a moderately funny one, but not at all unpleasant – normally the sign of a better Fettercairn.
F: Soft-hot with more husky almond nuttiness and a slightly strange oiliness which is well within limits. The final scene talks of peanut & cashew nut butters, set honey & Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, and dry Lockets at the death.

C: An un-nutty/crazy Fettercairn for nut fans, and Fettercairn fans for that matter. With thanks to Christian and Pascal.
