    • Nose
Smoked peat, citruses, caramel, banana wrapped into light notes of iodine and oak wood.
    • Taste
Smoother than nose but echoes it opening notes of smoked peat, roasted barley, smoked meat with sweet malt hints.
    • Finish
      Caramel, banana, pear, honey.

The rum and smoke aromas harmonize very well. The nuttiness in the finish surprises in a positive sense.
    • Nose
Cold ashes and extinguished campfires are instantly on the nose, plus grassy-fresh peat and heather. Creamy-sweet exotic fruits spread like bananas, pineapples, physalis and honeydew melon. The rum finish is noticeable.
    • Taste
Cold peat ash in the mouth, then sweet rum and creamy blossom honey, with pineapple, banana and vineyard peach.
    • Finish
The finish is creamy and nutty with coconut, vanilla and almond. Finally, seaweed and a wet campfire with smoked fish.

£22 in duty free. Highly recommendable, certainly for that price and even reasonable for the rrp of£45. Islay tastes evident with sweetness coming through.
    • Nose
Sweetness, candy floss/ toasted marsh mallows. Peat, vanilla and nut traces as well as banana and other fruits
    • Taste
Sweetness from the rum cask. Peat, leather, apple and and smoke
    • Finish
Pleasant. Definite feel of islay. Feels strong for a 43%.

Intense yellow sweetness, almost candied with a nice bonfire smoke and ashes. Jelly bananas, some mango, vanilla and a very pleasant harmonious nose. Tropical fruits in honey with a tone of leather. The rum note is beautiful in this tropical smoke cocktail. Here and there, despite the 43% vol.Alk. the alcohol. Works fresher then.

In terms of taste, the sweetness is back first, before the smoke reappears here as well. A dryness is noticeable at the beginning, but then goes back again. Salt and maritime notes join in and show the origin more clearly. Something wood but then somehow everything next to each other, not with each other. Yes rum, recognizable, yes Islay but I still do not feel a total work. Unfortunately, the fruits are less wine-tasting and do not show themselves so clearly for a long time. A touch of bitterness and leather will remain on the palate.

For me personally too weak, from Islay the south coast I'm much more used. Some sweet rum ash remains.
