At first, it is slightly closed and breathes a classic dry sherry with a slight sourness in the aroma.
Breathing into the foreground comes an old rustic oak and wet coal barrels and a school eraser. After breathing for more than 30 minutes, the aroma evens out into an old dusty sherry nose, made under The Macallan with dried fruit ...
Cask strength gives a pungent and full-bodied flavor, with tannin acidity on the back of the tongue and the sweetness of malt.
While I don't like the sour finish, this whisky is good and balanced with the tannins of the barrel. A hint of mushroom dampness passes from the throat to the throat and dissolves into leather-woody notes.

I was sure that I would like the masala grades. Somehow, however, it gets a bit musty. Not bad, but I don't get too warm with it.

The aroma is rich, multifaceted, sweet. Malty sweetness, lots of spices, dill, old biscuits.
We stood there and breathed .... Berry sourness, strawberries, cranberry juice, granary dust, grain, dried pears and apples, green tea.
The taste is bright, powerful, knits. Berries, dried fruits, tropical fruits, spices.
The finish is long. Spicy spices, some berries, tea, wood.

Conclusion: Time and additional exposure definitely benefited this Tobermory, they managed to curb the excessive brutality and pepperiness. The release turned out to be more gentle and benevolent, unlike its younger counterparts, while retaining the corporate features.
