    • Nose
Earth, chocolate. Old leather, broiled meat. Light Mandarin orange zest. Toffee. Tobacco, malty. Smoke from burnt cinnamon.
    • Taste
Earth, syrup, dried fruit, creamy chocolate. Toffee. Tannin but light. Honey black tea. Little bit salty. Mild spiciness.
    • Finish
Citrus zest, tannin, nutmeg, roasted coffee bean, still getting earth. Cinnamon. Peat lingering.

Wow, unfortunately just a sample, because this is really great stuff.

Excellent and pleasant smell of earthy smoky notes in combination with Manzanilla sherry and a fruit basket.
    • Taste

I love these dirty earthy Ledaig expressions. Where the 10y old is quite aggressive, here the alcohol and beautiful smoke is very well integrated with fruit and dark chocolate flavors.
    • Finish
      90 90
Long and pleasant, tasteful and fruity spicy notes till the very end.

The aroma is rich, dense. Burnt wiring, leather goods, mints, ammonia, spices, wood.
We stood there and breathed .... The sweetness of manzanila, butteriness, freshly baked bread, a hint of malt notes. The berry basket, what exactly, is rather difficult to identify, but the emphasis is on red berries (raspberries, lingonberries, cranberries).
The taste is bright, powerful, explosive. Smoke, smoke mixed with the sweetness of manzanila.
Berry - fruit bouquet, vanilla, cranberry juice, spices.
The finish is long-lasting, sweet with a noble bitterness. Burnt rubber, peat, spices, berry sourness, sunflower seeds.
Conclusion: Wonderful scotch tape from the island of Mull, with its own advantages and disadvantages. Scarce in shades and midtones, for such an age-old whisky it is not good. However, it is perfectly balanced and distinctive.
The finish at Manzanilla Cask gave an unforgettable sweetness on the palate that harmonizes perfectly with peat derivatives.
Whisky that you want to drink, drink and drink without stopping.

the nose benefits greatly after water is added, but the palate says noo..
    • Nose

straight up, unmistakeable Ledaig-ian peat - fat, earthy, muddy, dirty.. cow stable over sweet strawberry jam notes.. very oily and lemony-fresh.. becomes more refined when water is added - herbs, sesame oil, camphor while peat falls in the background
    • Taste
      87 87
yes, yes and yes.. lemons, red fruits and a little salty.. borders closely on the style of the house of Kilchoman, including a rather young mouth-feel.. water just ruins it :(
    • Finish
      85 85
dry and not a little bitter.. becomes sweeter, but less focused with water.
