- SMWS Tasting Notes: A cute and delightful nose – lemon possit, lemon puff biscuits, custard creams, Starburst and Dolly Mixtures, with a floral note of orange blossoms and honey bees buzzing in a fuchsia hedge. The palate is fruity, sweet and tart – apple and custard sweets, plum pie, marzipan and crème brûlée, with hints of orange zest, oak and tobacco – the finish tingles with memories of clove and nutmeg. The reduced nose finds tinned mandarins and crème anglaise, poached pear with honey and a wild flower meadow in early summer. The palate now has childhood evocations of liquorice sherbet fountains, peardrops and Swizzel double lollies.
