  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 79 points Connoisseur

A very expressive though not complex whisky. Not easy to forget.
    • Nose
Like walking into a leather store! Also horse stable fragrancy. Lots of espresso and dark choclate. Hints of heavy sherry. Actually, eEverything in this nose seems to be heavy...
    • Taste
Strange industrial taste. Petrol, burnt rubber and some undefined chemicals (!). Earthy notes later on.
    • Finish
Quite long, coffee and tannines. Sweetness as well.

  2. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

a curious droplet. In any case, in combination with the heavy sherry keg a very unique taste experience
    • Nose
sweet, fermented fruit, leather, burned plastic, stable, surprisingly little smoke, rather the earthy peat notes.
    • Taste
more burnt plastic, chemical, sweet, fruity, but also dry and spicy.
    • Finish
quite dry from the wood, a strong bitterness, menthol, a bit like these Italian bitter liqueurs, so quite sweet for me, a lot of peat smoke, long.

  3. cuhp scored this whisky 71 points Expert Senior

The nose is delicious, but taste and finish are way too bitter!
    • Nose
Subtle caramel, sherry, hint of cinnamon, citrussy, quite delicious
    • Taste
Salt, licorice, caramel, intense tar, thick, very bitter
    • Finish
      Salt, licorice, caramel, tar, bitter

  4. Erik Elixir scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

N: sherry, peat, a bit sourish, toffee, later like a `dubble` (roasted) beer
T: old wood, smoked fish, syrup and honey
    F: tobacco, sweet and smoky
    tasted with Aby

  5. aby scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

nose: full oloroso, toffee, bitter, nuts,

taste: burnt wood, rubber, smocked mackerel, dry wood

overall: very pronounced, not a balanced whisky but spectacular it is!

    tasted with Erik Elixer

available as sample on: whiskysample.nl  (sorry, no more)

  6. Feusi scored this whisky 79 points Connoisseur

Deep nutty notes, heavy sweetness. Oranges and lemons in the appeal, peaty smoke and red berries, slightly bitter on the palate. Rarely dark red color. The smoke first comes on the finish, long lasting and not unpleasant. If you searching for something other, you may buy it.
