an intense nose on sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), on dusty sherry with dry mold, with also cooked fruits, caramelized on apple, cherry and orange peel, the wood is also strong, well present!
the mouth remains on the same notes, but more attenuated, it is very fruity confit and pastry, almost creamy.the final is in the same dynamic, a mix of flavors that makes me think of a very good ... blend!

Complex old Dalmore with excellent balance, but the price is ...
    • Nose
Fruity and spicy. Sherry, orange, cherry and apple peel. Pepper, oak and salted caramel.
    • Taste
Powerful and creamy. Marzipan. Ginger and nutmeg. Matured oak. Walnut. Orange, plum and cherry. Creme Brulee.
    • Finish
      Long, spicy, creamy, bittersweet. Tiramisu.

Like a massage on your tongue. Easy drinking.
    • Nose
Clotted cream stirred with honey, poured over nectarines. Lovely.
    • Taste
Lovely sweet. Creamy, caramelized fkavours. Creme brûlée. Nice sweetness.
    • Finish
Biscuity, with dark flavours. Like tiramisu with lost of espresso and no vanilla  sugar. Middle long aftertaste.

This whisky was aged in an Oloroso sherry cask, and the nose has a slight pepperiness, a hint of fruits, a light orange note, and hints of malt and grass. The taste is rich and spicy at first with orange notes and a lemon tartness. The finish is lingering and smooth with a citrusy tartness. Outstanding!

Old style sherry whisky, delicious but quite dull. Not the complex but very well balanced!
Bought a sample 15 months ago for around 15€. Wouldn't pay that again for it...

Very good whisky, very well balanced but £2500?

The nose is very nice and the spices on the palate ate too but the on the whole does not quite deliver what the nose promises you, almost too restrained.
