Whisky Reviews for Port Charlotte #LADDIEMP8 - 2008

- Add a drop of water, the body is rather reserved.
Sea spray and seaside elements. Seaweed, charred fire wood, washed up log on the beach, cracked seashells. Dry and cracked wood washed with brine.
Solvent, fermented wine like mulled wine.
Slightly creamy and oily.
Starts of with creamy vanilla, barley, cardamom and lemon. Opens up with a flowery note, medium thickness and light scent - following with cream custard and a subtle light note of baked pastries.
Some citrus fruits, intense blood orange and grapefruit. Peaty and lightly smoked; smoked salmon and ham.
(ADD WATER) A little bit nutty - tastes like walnuts. Wee chocolate, like a hot chocolate.
Metallic like taste - a tin can that has been basking under the sun.
Warm and long, sweet to the very end. Rather easygoing with plenty to offer.
- Besides a rather typical PC profile of nuts, bacon and peat I also found some weird plant juices and sheet metal. Quite wild if you ask me. Something to explore. Full review (in German):https://keinehalbendrinks.de/2019/10/31/port-charlotte-laddiemp8/
