This is not a pussy to grab without hand shoes!
A relatively young single grain well over 60%, that's not a promise for much initial subtlety. That glue-ish layer of neutral alcohol is definitely there. But there's quite some vanilla and fresh pear as well, further mellowed by berry notes from the octave. With water the pear really comes loose (Festini), in combination with Wehrter's caramel.
The sherry influence is more upfront, Caramel and berries. Lemon and tonic from the grain. A bit sharp in the mouth, but it definitely makes you want more. Then with water, there's sugar-coated nuts, and that pear again.
